Being environmentally responsive and trying to preserve ecological balances, Thenamaris takes actions towards this end. Maintaining to the highest standards hull machinery and equipment, using environmentally friendly methods for clean ballast water exchange management, carefully discharging to shore reception facilities slops from ships’ dirty ballast or tank washings, and carefully controlling the disposal of waste and used items, all aim at this objective. 

Further, we make certain to consume high quality fuels for minimizing emissions, to use tin (lead free paints), and to avoid any ozone depleting substances such as toxic refrigerants.
